Steve Aoki Show in EP Shut Down by Health Dept-2The Steve Aoki show at Buchanans Event Center tonight has been canceled.

El Paso Fire and Health officials are at the scene of the show, where a sewage leak inside the venue has forced the event to shut down.

“Fire and Health Department have declared it is not safe to continue with the show. Please stay tuned for more details to be posted as they become available,” said a Facebook post from SMG Events, the shows promoter. “This is out of our control. We understand your discontent and apologize for the inconvenience. We promise to make it up to you.”

According to Facebook posts, the show was shut down before Aoki could perform.

“It was flooded since like the second act,” commented Elizabeth Veloz on the El Paso 411 Facebook post. “That event center needs to be prepared for any event. It was so unorganized.”

History
Back in 2012, the same club was shut down by the Health Department for the same reason, sending about 800 concert goers onto the streets of El Paso.

A make up date has not been announced.
