El Paso has been ranked the best city to raise a family.

A website has given our city top props when it comes to raising a family. We’re going to stop right here and say that yes, this place is wonderful for families: our crime rate is low, we’re located within an hour and a half driving distance to lakes and hiking, and our city is actively pursuing new quality of life projects, such as the spray parks, children’s museums and of course all of the private investment. However, El Paso still falls behind when it comes to all of the above when compared to similar cities such as Boston and Albuquerque.

The ranking, by Apartment List, came to the conclusion after factoring in FBI data, housing affordability, education quality and child friendliness.

“Among the nation’s 25 largest cities, El Paso, TX scored best, with an A- overall grade,” the article said. “Other large cities that performed relatively well include Dallas, San Diego, Phoenix, and Charlotte, which all received overall grades of B.”
