Fights and flying bottles took over the dance floor at Buchanans Event Center Monday night after a concert featuring popular producer Steve Aoki was shut down by El Paso Fire and Health Departments.
Videos of the scene are beginning to emerge on social media, which show a frightening and out of control scene at the venue. A video posted by Katie Arteche on Facebook showed multiple fights inside the event center, while video posted on YouTube by the El Paso Times showed the scene outside — just as chaotic.
The event was shut down after the venue was deemed a health hazard due to a sewage leak inside. Concert goers were apparently not happy and resorted to violence. Meanwhile, promoters SMG Events worked to move the event to 301 Nightlife in downtown El Paso. However, that show was shut down 30 minutes later by the El Paso Police Department. A post on the company Facebook page promised a make up date.
